Our team is led by Mr Dobbie Mhlongo, the founder and attorney at Mhlongo Attorneys. Dobbie holds a Bachelors of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (2013). From humble township beginnings in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, he completed his studies from Wits and went on to complete his practical training at his previous employers, Webber Wentzel Attorneys, Johannesburg office from January 2014 to October 2017.
He completed his articles of clerkship between 2014 and 2015 in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Litigation), Public Law (Regulatory) and Mergers & Acquisitions (Corporate) in Private Equity transactions. He was admitted and enrolled as an attorney of the High Court of South in 2015.
He specializes in corporate and commercial law, regulatory law and dispute resolutions. He has advised some of the biggest institutions and companies in South Africa and across the African Region.
He is affluent in most of the South African official languages including his home language Tsonga, Sepedi, Isizulu, English and he is also learning Shona to name a few. This gives him an edge to be able to assist clients in their preferred language.
